Resumen
Bogotá Chirriadísima is created due to the big opportunity that souvenirs have as an alternate proposal inside the handcraft manufacturing sector; the lack of innovation and the growth of tourism in the city, have created the action field for those products that offer a concept 100% Bogotá made.
These products beyond fulfilling their functions of remembering pleasant moments of the lived experiences are a mean to transmit a historical image of the touristic attractions of the city, like some of the few visited places that still save their natural magic. We seek to offer functional products and different from the conventional ones, with the idea that within different kind of activities they make part of the tourist life.
By having a growing touristic market, and being Bogotá the most visited city in the country, it was determined a market size for over 55 thousand million pesos; never the less due to the initial conditions of the project we will focus on a small part of the segment.
In order to be able to develop this project it is required an initial investment of 28,3 million pesos, with the objective of making for the first year the sale of 5.510 units the will represent incomes of more than 160 million pesos, for the second year the production will rise up to making 9.743 units which will represent an income of more than 288 million pesos, what is equivalent to a 72% rise compared to the previous year. Finally for the third year, it is expected a growth on the sales of 84% with incomes for more than 532 million pesos corresponding to 17.503 units
The flow of the project for the three year period, gives us a internal rate of return or average annual return of 124,39% what determines that is a feasible and low risk project, regarding to the net present value the project gives over an additional 102 millions, meaning that is more rentable to invest resources in this project than in one project that rents at 20% annual, finally, as the sum of the utilities of the first and second year is greater than the initial investment, it is determined that the recovery period of the investment is given in the second year.
