Urban sprawl through informal settlements origin has increased in recent years due to the deficit in the supply of formal housing, the cost of urban land and economic, social and cultural factors. These settlements lack basic infrastructure and are generally invaded lands are in areas of risk and not offer adequate for living people physical and housing conditions. The district through the Comprehensive Improvement Program Barrios (PMIB) seeks to intervene on the critical aspects in every neighborhood, to enable basic infrastructure to enable their integration into the city and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants. This process of defining critical areas and define the physical, social and environmental interventions that should be carried out by different district entities. In this study an analysis of the interventions that have been carried out in the Priority Areas of Intervention (API) Treasury to analyze which interventions carried out have been successful and which require adjustments to achieve a better impact is. It was found that these interventions have not been sufficient to improve the living conditions of people, which is why it is necessary to review the policy and forms of intervention.
