Los cambios del sistema político colombiano en virtud de los preceptos de Arend Lijphart y sus efectos en la oposición durante el periodo 2006 – 2013

Abstract

The main interest of this paper is to show how within the Colombian institutional framework changed the type of Democracy in two periods of government, and how this change adversely affected the party system and specifically to the opposition parties. This will be analyzed from the theory of Arend Lijphart on majoritarian democracy and consensual democracy, including in the analysis, the institutional framework where the Colombian political system operates. For a better understanding of the subject, an account of the institutional political parties in Colombia is from its formation to the present day, paying principal interest periods covered government between 2006 and 2013.
