Resumen
This paper offers a study made to companies that belong to the auto parts sector in Colombia.
This investigation has proposed to present the current status of the sector and the company,
their development and some recommendations for their improvement.
During the development of this investigation it was used the methodology of structural
analysis of strategic sectors, which consist in study the sector from the analysis of
overcrowding, study of the competitive landscape, analysis of the market forces and the
study of the competitors. Besides it was applied the impact matrix cross-reference
multiplication applied to a classification technique (MIC MAC), by Michael Godet, (1993)
that describes the relations present in a system from the recollection of information gave by
the actors involved in the study.
With this study recommendations were generated around key variables for the strategic
direction of the studied company, which will improve their performance in the sector.
