Abstract
Movement disorders can be defined as neurological syndromes in which there may be an excess of movement or automatic movements slowed or volunteers, who are not related to weakness or spasticity. These can be assembled into 2 groups. One in which there is excessive movement (hyperkinesias), like chorea, dystonia, myoclonus and tics. On the other hand, there may be slowed movement (hypokinesia), which Parkinsonian syndromes are the most frequent cause of this group.
