Abstract

This work is an historic and critic study about the legal mechanisms created in order to protect the displaced people lands. It is review on the public policy and legislation related to the object. Starting from a brief study about displacement causes, which shows how the land has been an determinant and definitive factor for the armed conflict and the forced displacement, goes ahead a critical analysis about the public measures taken in order to protect the displaced people lands, emphasizing the historical insufficiency of he State. Finally, we conclude the necessity to revalue the state policy on the matter.
