Resumen
Hypertriglyceridemia is one of the causes of acute pancreatitis, generally with an increased risk when its value exceeds 1,000 mg / dl. Different therapeutic alternatives have been described for the treatment of patients with pancreatitis due to hypertriglyceridemia, including insulin infusion. We report the case of a patient with very severe hypertriglyceridemia presenting acute pancreatitis and his evolution was favorable with insulin therapy.
