Business Description
Kinderpup is a nursery for dogs as pets located in the Unicentro shopping mall in
the city of Bogota, created to meet the needs of people owning their pets, which
presents drawbacks to give a tour of several locations where it is not allowed
access to these animals. The most common are shopping malls, and is precisely
why the project focuses on such establishments.
The aim is to provide tranquility and comfort to users of our services, providing
care and affection to their pets and understand how important part of families. To
accomplish our goal, Kinderpup have qualified staff always willing to provide
childcare, veterinary, hairdressing and training are essential to keep pets healthy,
beautiful and happy.
The service includes barbershop haircut, arrangement of teeth and nails; training
includes output for a walk around the mall and training by a qualified coach. The
veterinary service includes diagnosis, medical history of canine, overhaul and
recommendations. There are also articles for sale, and concentrated animal beauty
products, which may be purchased by users of pets at the headquarters of
Kinderpup.
Market
In Colombia there is currently no adequate space to accommodate pets in
shopping malls, it’s still banned from animals to these establishments and
individual’s pet owners who frequent these places pose the need to provide a
space so they can leave their animals there. xi
As to which suggests the potential market and the central location of the Unicentro
shopping mall, is given the opportunity to offer different services (hairdresser,
veterinarian service or training) in addition to nursery to people of strata 4, 5 and 6
who frequent shopping malls and they need a place of trust to leave their pets
when they have to go out and they can’t take them.
Similarly, this service is very beneficial for people living around the mall because
during the week are the concern of leaving your pet at home alone or with an
inexperienced person.
According to the study of markets, there is an interesting percentage of people
visiting shops on weekends, 26% surveyed 100 people attending the mall between
2 and 3 times per month and 22%, going 4 times a month, also 44% of
respondents say that the mall of your choice is Unicentro and a figure even more
significant is that 78% of people take their dogs to the mall if this were not
forbidden.
Operations area
The cycle of service begins when the customer is about to request information in
the reception of Kinderpup, upon receiving a flyer advertising or by contacting us
by phone or email.
From the moment that people want to leave their pet in our care is a
rapprochement with the pet to provide tranquility to both the pet and its owner, and
then runs the service indicated as appropriate
Management Team
The team manager of Kinderpup will consist of the following people: xii
Silvia Valencia: veterinarian, she will be responsible for advice on caring for
pets, hygiene standards and protect and manage the nursery.
Jose Segura: Promoter sales, he will be in charge of contacts with
suppliers, advertising agencies and Unicentro.
Ana Maria Romero: Director, she will be responsible for directing
employees and plan marketing strategies and competitiveness.
