La disrupción : el punto de partida de la resiliencia o del fracaso empresarial (reflexiones desde la ingeniería)

Abstract

The concept of business lasting has been a recurring issue on business management literature. Despite the progress, liquidation processes of companies continue to increase. Under the aim of looking for improvement alternatives, it was decided to choose two companies incorporated more than forty years ago, engaged in providing electric and civil engineering consultancy services which, while facing an ongoing crisis situation, implemented actions which not only enabled said companies to remain activein the market but also, to strengthen their financial structure. The results obtained from the research showed that a balanced approach characterized by a timely decision making and the definition and implementation of effective business strategies are optimum tools to ensure a higher degree of business resilience.
