Resumen
This article exposes how the migration of unaccompanied minors shows the limitations of the international human rights regime, throughout the case of honduran undocumented children migration to the United States during 2008 and 2014. The regulatory mechanisms lack legal precision and are intended for the will of the receiving States of migrant minors. Although there is a regime that seeks to enforce human rights, it often conflicts with state sovereignty and territoriality. To support this posture, the paper describes the international mechanisms for the protection of Human Rights within the actual regime. Then, it explains how the irregular migration of unaccompanied minors affects this regime taking as main research methods the discourse analysis of Teun Van Dijk. Finally, the results of the migration phenomenon applied to the case study are evaluated.
