Abstract
The main goal of this monograph is offering a new and critical perspective on the ongoing conflict in Korean Peninsula, having an approach from Kenneth Waltz’s Structural Realism theory. Through this way, what is looked is answering some questions about State’s interests as a basis for Structure maintenance in some geopolitically essential regions in the World. At the end a conclusion is reached, telling that Structure applies some functions for preserving itself from disappearing as it is known by the means of a convergence action in States’ behaviour. This reality has gone on keeping the Korean Peninsula without a military conflict during the last 50 years, despite the fact it has been at the edge many times. In the case this happens, stability in the region would break down and thus the Balance of Power does.
