Factores críticos y de éxito en la producción agrícola de los municipios del área de influencia de Bogotá
Niño Bueno, Alejandra
The food stability of large Latin American cities, depends on the productivity of the nearby agricultural areas. For example, Bogota, capital of Colombia and city with greatest economic and demographic dynamics of the country, is threatened due to factors linked to the urban expansion. This research seeks to identify the critical and successful factors of the agricultural production in some municipalities of the Sabana of Bogota, to contribute at the reduction of the risk of scarcity in the region. As a result of the research, it will be demonstrated through a quantitative and a qualitative analysis that, although there are strategic factors in the territory such as soils of great quality, water and weather, among others, agricultural production in areas nearby the city of Bogota, decreases and threatens the region's food supply in the medium term.
