O mosaico da memória: Museu de Venâncio Aires

Abstract

A pesquisa desenvolvida na presente dissertação analisa o Museu de Venâncio Aires à luz da história da comunidade, voltando-se para suas referências identitárias ligadas ao associativismo. Privilegiou-se a interpretação sobre as motivações que levaram às doações de peças para a formação do acervo museológico, bem como às doações financeiras para a aquisição de um edifício-sede para o Museu, sendo estas ações iniciadas no segundo semestre de 1994, tendo alcançado proporções ao longo dos anos seguintes. Levou-se em consideração as questões vinculadas à memória, numa perspectiva relacionada à comunidade e à história, como forma de entendimento dos processos de preservação ocorridos no referido município. Para tanto, buscou-se o embasamento teórico acerca do processo histórico ligado à preservação, bem como o entendimento da história do município e a análise da instituição museológica através de focos alternativos à reflexão factual. Centrou-se a presente análise em alguns pontos de apreciação ligados à casa (edifício-sede), bem como o entendimento das representações de parte do acervo custodiado pela instituição.

The research developed in this dissertation analyses the Museum of Venâncio Aires in the light of the community history, focusing on its identity references linked to associativism. The interpretation on the reasons which led to the donation of pieces to the formation of the museum heritage collection was emphasized, as well as the financial donations to the purchase of the Museum head office building, these actions were established in the second semester of 1994, growing bigger in the following years. The issues related to the memory were taking into consideration, on a perspective associated to the community and history, as a means of understanding the conservation processes which took place in the mentioned town. Thus, a theoretical base on the historical process linked to conservation was sought, as well as the understanding of the town history and the study of the museological institution through alternative focus towards the factual reflection. The present study focused on some estimation topics related to the museum building (head office building), as well as understanding the representations of part of pieces collection maintained by the institution.
