POLIQUETOS ASOCIADOS A SUBSTRATOS ARTIFICIALES SUMERGIDOS EN LA COSTA NORORIENTAL DE VENEZUELA. II: SERPULIDAE Y SPIRORBIDAE

RESUMEN: Numerosos poliquetos sedentarios fueron colectados sobre substratos artificiales sumergidos en la costa nororiental
de Venezuela. La familia Serpulidae está representada en esta colección por once especies, Hydroides parva, H. dirampha, H.
bispinosa, H. sanctaecrucis, H. elegans, H. brachyacantha, Spirobranchus giganteus giganteus, S. tetraceros, Protula submedia, Salmacina
amphidentata y Serpula sp., mientras que la familia Spirorbidae esta representada por tres especies, Spirorbis bidentatum, Pileolaria
spinifer y P.militaris. Ocho de estas especies constituyen primeros registros para Venezuela.
ABSTRACT: Several species of polychaetes worms were collected on artificial submerged substrats in the northeastern coast of
Venezuela. The family Serpulidae is represented by eleven species, Hydroides parva, H. dirampha, H. bispinosa, H. sanctaecrucis, H.
elegans, H. brachyacantha, Spirobranchus giganteus giganteus, S. tetraceros, Protula submedia, Salmacina amphidentata and Serpula sp.,
whereas the family Spirorbidae is represented by three species Spirorbis bidentatum, Pileolaria spinifer and P. militaris. Eight species
constitute first records for Venezuela.
