Resumen
The research focused on gathering spaces and places in which elements could be identified for the construction of a comprehensive sports arena, these elements are part of convents, churches and monasteries that have as a general rule their religious use, research focused on the study of routine and ritual in these spaces in order to apply them to the project of high performance center that aims to rethink the way in which athletes prepare and train for their sports demanding them in a territory of 2525 mm on the level of the sea as it is the municipality of Paipa Boyacá.
The construction of the project was possible from understanding the qualities that developed within these religious spaces such as routine and ritual and how people appropriated these concepts spatially and that is how this idea was translated into spatial concept appropriate to athletes, likewise the starting point for the development of the design arose from an investigation that revolved around the MAT BUILDING and its translation grid in space as a starting point to organize the space.
Finally, the development of the project seeks an urban impact for the region that aims to strengthen sports tourism and positions as an integral sports complex that contains, in addition to sports venues, a hotel complex and multiple spaces for relaxation, for being, meditate and even to read.
