El presente artículo busca hacer una breve reseña histórica acerca del instrumento musical Tiorba, partiendo desde que fue creado y utilizado por primera vez, a finales de siglo XV, hasta la actualidad, basándose específicamente en su uso durante El Primer Festival de Música Electrónica, llevado a cabo en octubre de 2011 en la ciudad de Mérida, Venezuela. Durante dicho festival se utilizó la tiorba como instrumento característico en un concierto llevado a cabo por los venezolanos Adina Izarra y Rubén Riera, donde podremos ver a continuación como se fusionó este instrumento con las tecnologías actuales para conseguir un instrumento de avanzada.43-56semestralThis article looks to explained briefly the history of the Tiorba as a musical instrument, starting from it creation and first use in the 15th century, until recent days, specifically during the First Electronic Music Festival in October 2011 in Mérida, Venezuela. During this festival the Tiorba was used in a concert by the Venezuelans Adina Izarra y Rubén Riera, where we could see in this article how it was merged this instrument with the recent technologies in order to find an advanced musical instrument.
