dc.descriptionEste trabajo tiene como objetivo abordar la construcción discursiva de la leyenda negra de Ciudad Juárez en la prensa escrita con el propósito de mostrar la manera de cómo los medios de comunicación de masas construyen representaciones negativas (imágenes) para establecer a partir de hechos desacreditadores, un estigma. La manera de cómo se construye la leyenda negra de Ciudad Juárez en discursos periodísticos es mostrar el antecedente histórico que data de la década de los veinte del siglo pasado que al parecer tiene similitud con el fenómeno reciente de ubicar a Juárez como la ciudad más violenta y peligrosa del mundo, mientras que en el pasado era considerada ciudad viciosa y corrupta.

The way how you build the black legend of Ciudad Juarez in journalistic discourse is to show the historical background dating back to the twenties of the last century that apparently has similarity to the recent phenomenon of placing Juarez as the most violent and dangerous in the world, whereas in the past it was considered vicious and corrupt city.
