| dc.description | El fuerte avance de la urbanización y sus consecuencias en el Tercer Mundo, en la segunda mitad del siglo XX, fueron acompañados por la aparición de diferentes interpretaciones teóricas, entre las cuales se destaca la teoría de los dos circuitos de la economía urbana en los países subdesarrollados propuesta por Milton Santos en la década de 1970. Con este trabajo se quiere reflexionar sobre esta teoría. En primer lugar, se analiza el contexto de aparición de esta teoría, así como las interpretaciones teóricas con las que dialogó. En un segundo momento, nos fijamos en las diferentes reflexiones sobre la teoría de los circuitos y en sus varias aplicaciones. Por último, destacamos los esfuerzos de su actualización hechos en el Brasil contemporáneo. | |

| dc.description | The strong advance of urbanization and its consequences on the Third World, in the second half of the Twentieth century, were accompanied by the appearance of different theoretical interpretations, among which is the theory of two circuits of urban economy in underdeveloped countries proposed by Milton Santos 1970s. The aim of this work is to reflect on this theory. First of all, the context of the emergence of this theory is analyzed, as well as the theoretical interpretations with which it was discussed. Second, the different reflections about the theory of the two circuits and its applications were considered. At last, the efforts to their update made in contemporary Brazil were highlighted. | |
