107 - 116 casasnuevasquecaen@gmail.com anual The use of parody in literature to embed an alteration of sense for a new
significant construction of the narrative text implies a different understanding
of the creative work and its literary reception. This article is not only
addressing the parody conceptually, nor describing their uses, on which
there is a varied bibliography, but analyzing the way in which it develops in
the “Total Scope/film perfect”, a Japanese Kobo Abe’s tale. There, parody
breaks the generic border and involves the reader actively in the narrative
plot, generating new experiences of reading.
