dc.descriptionPara satisfacer necesidades de la vida diaria, la humanidad elaboró objetos de piedra, barro, cobre, bronce y finalmente hierro, hasta llegar a la revolución industrial produciendo manufacturas en serie, motivada por la expansión del consumo. Nace entonces la necesidad de adecuar objetos a una presentación ornamental para hacerlos atractivos, incrementándose con la llegada del vidrio y el plástico. Corrientes arquitectónicas como el Art Noveau, Art Decó y el «funcionalismo», introdujeron en los siglos XIX y XX diseños «estéticos» novedosos para atraer consumidores. Los textiles y la confección siguieron esas corrientes. Esas «formas ornamentales» de artículos, como productos del esfuerzo intelectual, pueden ser objeto de derechos de Propiedad Intelectual, analizándose las condiciones para ello, alcance, duración, posibilidad de acumulación de derechos en un mismo diseño y protección internacional.

dc.descriptionTo satisfy needs of the daily life, the humanity made first objects of stone, clay, copper, bronze and finally iron, until arrive at the industrial revolution where is initiated the manufactures mass production call, motivated by the expansion of the consumption. It is born then the need to adapt objects to an ornamental presentation to do them attractions, being increased with the arrival of the glass and the plastic. The architectural currents known as Art Noveau, Art Decó and the «functionalism», they introduced in the XIXth and XXth centuries a esthetic designs of products to attract consumers. The textiles and the making continued those currents. These ornamental forms for articles, as products of the intellectual effort can be subjects of Intellectual Property. Here, requirements, scope, duration of rights and possibility of accumulation of rights are analyzed.
