| dc.description | O presente relato trata da experiência acerca da história do processo de institucionalização do Portal de Periódicos da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Supõe que este processo envolve a elaboração de documentos de gestão, a definição de infraestrutura técnica e tecnológica necessárias à criação, manutenção, divulgação e preservação dos periódicos. A descrição baseou-se nas entrevistas realizadas com o atual Comitê Gestor e no mapeamento das revistas que compõem o Portal de Periódicos da UFBA. A revisão bibliográfica fundamentou-se nos resultados apresentados pelos trabalhos já publicados nas revistas científicas e anais de eventos da área de ciência da informação. Percebe-se, a partir desta pesquisa, que apesar de ser reconhecido pela comunidade universitária, o processo de institucionalização do Portal de Periódicos da UFBA ainda não foi concluído. Carece ainda da elaboração de uma política institucional, que se encontra em andamento, e de uma equipe multidisciplinar para implementá-la. | |
| dc.description | This is an experience report about the history of the institutionalization process of the Scientific Journals Portal of the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). It assumes that this process involves the elaboration of management documents, the definition of technical and technological infrastructure necessary for the creation, maintenance, dissemination and preservation of the periodicals. The description of this report was based on interviews with the current Management Committee and on the mapping of the magazines that compose the UFBA’s Scientific Journals Portal. The bibliographic review, guiding this work, is based on the results presented by the works already published in the scientific journals and annals of events in the area of Information Science. It can be seen from this work that, despite being recognized by the university community, the process of institutionalization of the UFBA’s Scientific Journals Portal has not yet been completed. It still lacks the elaboration of an institutional policy that is under way and a multidisciplinary team to implement it. | |
