Resumen: En 1965, la editorial "El Ateneo" publica el libro Lectura y Notación de la Música 2 de Carlos Vega. El proyecto de edición queda inconcluso. Este artÍculo permite reconstruir el aporte del volumen 1 que había sido pensado por Vega como introductorio dentro del proceso de educación musical. Cartas, apuntes, documentos, recortes periodísticos pertenecientes al autor, permiten un acercamiento a su pensamiento musical, a su filosofía de abordaje y a la historia documentada de la implementación de su método de enseñanza en la Argentina. A su vez, el cancionero inédito con letra y música del autor, constituye un interesante material educativo desconocido hasta el día de hoy.Abstract: "El Ateneo" publishes the "Reading and Musical Notation 2" by Carlos Vega. The proyect of edition remains unconcluded. This article allows to reconstruct the contribution of the volume 1 that had been thought by Vega like an introduction to the process of musical education. Letters, notes, documents, journalistic notes of the author, allows an approach to his musical thought, to his boarding philosophy and to the history of the implementation of his teaching method in Argentina. At the same time the unpublished song book, with music and lyrics by the author, constitutes until today, an unknown and interesting educational material.
