Resumen
Near infrared images of the G34.4 region (IRAS 18507+0121) show a reddened source, detected only in the K' filter, about 15'' in extent. We have recently observed G34,4 with the OVRO array, in the 3mm continuum band and in the H13CO+line, at a resolution of 5''. Most of the H13CO+flux (33.64 Jy) comes from two strong cores, one of them associated with the NIR source, and the other with a single, unresolved continuum source with a total flux of 56.8 mJy. The estimated mass of gas and dust in this second core, 355 M, is consistent with the peresence of a massive, embedded OB protostar.
