This book chapter aimed to gather and integrate otherwise scattered contributions that provide elements for the development of a microeconomic framework of land use-transport interactions. Sections are devoted to the microeconomics of land use, the land use-transport relationship, an extension to the analysis of local areas, and directions for future research.
