This paper has originated from the need to search for a new vision of the human being, that is willing to see the man in a global way, a man which body and psyche are integrated and acting in order to offer him a balanced and healthy structure. Most of the time we tend to have a fragmented experience of the body and psyche relationship, moving towards a unilateral attitude. This posture goes against nature itself, causing illness to the body and the psyche ever when one or the other is forgotten or neglected. We also have our ancestral memory left out. As we distantiate ourselves from our ancestral origins, we value more what is outside and what we want to possess, forgetting what we already have, what we already hold internally as a cultural and symbolic baggage. Forgetfulness about the past makes it difficult to construct our present, because always something will be missing. I intend to show with this research that body-psyche and ancestrality, which already exist in us, are potentiality for building up a balanced and healthy individual, once it is properly utilized and used in this construction. Therefore, one of the means to provide this dive and this discovery of the old / new, that already exists in us, is dance Mestrado Artes Cenicas Mestra em Artes
