Because of the hegemonic model of food production, thousands of people are poisoned by pesticides. Pesticides damage the health of farm workers and residents nearby towns to agricultural regions causing a serious public health issue in Brazil. Doctors of agricultural municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon, in Western Paraná, had discussed with authority on the subject about pesticide-related illnesses, poison cases neglected and the influence of the capitalist system that overlaps the quality of life of human beings. Abortion cases, premature births, birth defects, cancer and depression were revealed in medical discourse as clinically related pathologies the use of pesticides in the region.1734635661
