A new species of Microlicia from Serra do Cipó (southern Espinhaço range, Brazil) is described and illustrated. Microlicia candolleana has branches, leaves, pedicels, hypanthium and sepals covered by spherical, golden glands, sessile leaves with evident nerves on both surfaces and subulate sepals, longer or with the same length as the hypanthium. © 2016 Magnolia Press. 261 3 275 281
