Foram discutidas as decorrências desses achados para o trabalho do fonoaudiólogo Abstract: In the process of linguistic development, the child is constituted as a subject of language, in social interactions and dialogues among partners. Oral production of a narrative heard the child goes beyond a simple retelling of observations, it also includes elements / experiences of the subject. In this sense, the present study aimed to describe aspects of the narrative function of children diagnosed with learning disabilities and language disorders in interactive contexts (researcher / colleagues), with emphasis on characterization of the production of individual and collective oral narratives. Three girls aged 7-12 years old, regularly enrolled in municipal school system and that participated of speech therapy sessions in an institution participated in this study. The study comprised three phases, all of them filmed:: Initial Assessment (individual ¿ story retelling), Intervention (4 group sessions) and Final Evaluation (individual - story retelling). The intervention sessions included storytelling, organization of sequences of images, reproduction and creation of scenes and collective stories recount. Based on the information obtained from the examination of records and notes in field diary, it was elaborated the characterization of participants. Individual assessments covered analysis of aspects related to the way of narrating the participants, as well as the characterization of the narratives produced, including cohesion, coherence, structure, reference methods and the use of images as support. The analysis of group intervention aimed at the identification of possibilities created by the researcher and / or partners in the dialogues. In the individual assessments, it was possible to identify acquisitions and changes in the quality of the narratives of the differents participants. In the intervention sessions, the analysis of collective story retelling allowed the identification of examples of collective construction of senses and meanings. Related to means of intervention, it was identified that the researcher used questions, verbal cues, synthesis of parts of the story, and visual resources, favoring the organization of narratives. The processes observed throughout the narrative discourse were the same processes present in the development of children without language impairments, only with differences related to the timing of its occurrence. It was observed the use of paralinguistic, gestural and visual resources, contributing to the production of oral narratives. The study brought about contributions to the understanding of the processes involved in the construction of narratives, emphasizing the modes of operation of the other (adult and partners) and the choice of appropriate resources (text, images, activities) for the elaboration of narratives. The implications for the speech therapist work were discussed Mestrado Interdisciplinaridade e Reabilitação Mestra em Saúde, Interdisciplinaridade e Reabilitação
