dc.description | We treat the problem of two resistive plates carrying a steady current in the same direction. We consider a linear battery orthogonal to the direction of the current in the middle of the plates. We study the behavior of the surface charges close to the battery. We calculate the potential and electric field in the space outside the plates. We also consider the case of a single resistive plate carrying a steady current. | |
