dc.descriptionA nonlinear amplifying loop mirror (NALM) is here proposed as a good candidate for amplification of dark solitons in fiber-optic communication systems. Simulations show the restoration of the dark-soliton contrast ratio using the proposed technique. The same proposed scheme can also be useful in bright-soliton-based systems.
