Resumen
An experimental set-up for experimental quantum cryptography using the chaotic behavior of a nonlinear fiber ring resonator and the autoswitching capability of a nonlinear fiber coupler is proposed to produce an all-optical key generator. The unpredictability of the key is due to the chaotic behavior of the nonlinear resonator, the filtering action of the nonlinear coupler, and the random choice of the base. 24 2 79 81 Blow, K.J., Doran, N.J., Global and local chaos in the pumped nonlinear Schrödinger equation (1984) Phys Rev Lett, 52, pp. 526-529 Steinmeyer, G., Mitschke, F., Buchholz, A., Hänsel, M., Heuer, M., Schwache, A., Dynamical pulse shaping in a nonlinear resonator (1995) Phys Rev A, 52, pp. 830-838 Chu, P.L., Malomed, B.A., Peng, G.D., Soliton switching and propagation in nonlinear fiber couplers: Analytical results (1993) J Opt Soc Amer B, 10, pp. 1379-1385 Phoenix, S.J.D., Townsend, P.D., Quantum cryptography: How to beat the code breakers using quantum mechanics (1995) Contemporary Phys, 36, pp. 165-195
