Resumen
Ten specimens of paiche Arapaima gigas from a semi-intensive fish farm located in the province of Maynas, Loreto, Peru were examined between June and October 2011 to identify the presence of parasitic helminths. This study identified a high infection of the nematode species Nilomena senticosum. The prevalence was 100% and a mean intensity of 80 parasites per fish. 25 3 414 418 Alcántara-Bocanegra, F., Wust, W.H., Tello, M.S., Rebaza, A.M., Castillo, T.D., (2006) Paiche: El Gigante del Amazonas, 69p. , Lima: Instituto de Investigaciones de la Amazonia Peruana Bonar, C.J., Poynton, S.L., Schulman, Y.F., Rietcheck, R.L., Garner, M.M., Hepatic Calyptospora sp.
