Resumen
The proposed in this research is based on the application of technology in the neurologic patients rehabilitation. A case report with one tetraplegic is shown in this paper and comprehends the neurophysiological, cardiorespiratory and biomechanics evaluations, as well as the development of assisted technology. The datas shows the enhanced functional of the cardiovascular, respiratory and muscular systems due to a period of six months of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES); the presence of interlimb reflexes, which possibily indicates neural plasticity; and with addition of loads, there was variability and alteration in the kinematics pattern of the voluntary movement of elbow flexion and extension, which indicates the necessity of the robotic orthoses use it was were development for the functional independence improvements to perform activities of daily living. © Copyright Moreira Jr. Editora.
