The obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is one of the psychiatric disorder most difficult to understand. The studies about adult OCD patients are few and they can be even fewer if we consider patients whose condition has been diagnosed according to the DSM-III-R. This study has been written with the aim of describing the social-demographic and clinical characteristics of 50 patients. Despite the shortcomings of our study the results were, in general, consistent with what had previously been reported in the literature showing a number of similarities among the cultures.
