Seizures happen for brief periods of time, but the feelings of anxiety and helplessness, adaptation to the restrictions impose by the life-style and variety of other problems affect more the quality of life in epilepsy. It contains 65 items and assesses the psychosocial performance, physical limitation, cognitive aspects, perception of control, self-concept, as well as perception of health and quality of life. The results of reliability and validity are discussed. 59 3 A 541 544 Calman, K.C., Quality of life in cancer patients an hypothesis (1984) J Med Ethics, 10, pp. 124-127 Cramer, J.A., A clinimetric approach to assessing quality of life in epilepsy (1993) Epilepsia, 34 (4 SUPPL.), pp. S8-S13 (1958) World Health Organization: The First 10 Years of the World Health Organization, , Geneva, Switzerland:World Health Organization Schipper, H., Clinch, J., Powell, V., Definitions and conceptual issues (1990) Quality of Life Assessment in Clinical Trials, pp. 11-24. , Spilker B (ed).
