Starting on a deeply well-documented study, the author proves the insufficiencies of the neoliberal politics to salve the economical and social problems of the country; also he questions the model based on macroeconomic adjustments that were unable to overcome the difficulties they pretended to salve. Specific steps to re-build the evident failure of the neo-liberal scheme are proposed, so that it is possible to start an epoch of sustained economical growth.A partir de un estudio profundamente documentado, el autor demuestra las insuficiencias de la política neoliberal para resolver los problemas económicos y sociales del país, cuestionando el modelo basado en ajustes macroeconómicos que no lograron superar las dificultades que pretendían solucionar. En el ensayo se proponen medidas específicas para reconstruir la economía nacional ante el evidente fracaso del esquema neoliberal, a fin de iniciar una época de crecimiento económico sostenido.
