This paper contains an analysis of the dialectics of the phases involved in the opening up of trade and capitals and the withdrawal of certain countries into themselves, starting from the fact that free trade has dominated protectionism. On the basis of the above, the author states that globalization does not in itself enhance welfare as a result of the increasingly hegemonic laws of the market and the State's withdrawal from the economy. On the contrary, it may exacerbate the effects of domination and the partial destruction of the productive apparatus, by increasing existing asymmetries, in addition to maintaining or increasing inequalities between capital and labor, countries and various social sectors.
