| dc.description | El presente trabajo titulado Concierto de arreglos inéditos de Sanjuanitos Ecuatorianos, muestra el proceso para versionar diez temas seleccionados pertenecientes al género del Sanjuanito ecuatoriano, utilizando sus elementos tradicionales, tanto musicales e interpretativos, junto a los de la música escolástica, y relacionándolos con la corriente del Jazz en tres etapas.
La primera etapa está dedicada al Sanjuanito tradicional; en esta elegiremos una lista de diez temas, selección que está basada en la interpretación del grupo de los Hnos. Saltos Los Gatos, y los artistas que han sido acompañados por ellos en distintos registros fonográficos.
Se desarrollará también material gráfico explicativo en el que tomaremos la melodía, el ritmo y armonía de los temas seleccionados, y los relacionaremos a las matemáticas utilizando un eje cartesiano, empleando el tiempo y las alturas para conseguir representaciones gráficas que puedan simbolizar patrones, formas o diseños compositivos, los mismos que estarán fundamentando los arreglos.
Para la segunda etapa describiremos los elementos usados con mayor recurrencia en el género del Jazz, sus recursos melódicos, armónicos y rítmicos, tanto como la improvisación e interpretación estandarizada mediante el análisis de dos temas seleccionados del Real Book. Todo el material descrito de este género será utilizado en los arreglos.
La tercera etapa describe el proceso creativo, para esto analizaremos fragmentos importantes de las partituras de los arreglos, explicando los aportes armónicos, melódicos, rítmicos, tímbricos e interpretativos que sirven para versionar los temas escogidos.

| dc.description | The present thesis entitled “Concierto de arreglos inéditos de Sanjuanitos Ecuatorianos” develop the arrangement process of ten selected works in sanjuanito rhythm, using music elements such as traditional, escolastic, and of performance, all of them related to the jazz
It develops three important stages studying the sanjuanito rhythm in explicative and graphic ways. Also it studies the music and interpretative materials, in the creative process of the arrangements until the music is notated for the final concert.
The first stage is mostly dedicated to the traditional Sanjuanito. In this section ten sanjuanito works have been selected from the interpretation from the Saltos´ brothers, called “Los Gatos”, and musicians who have accompanied them in many phonographic registers.
The thesis develops graphic material. It explains the woks previously selected in terms of melody, rhythm and harmony related to the mathematics using a Cartesian axis. This graphic material uses the tempo and sound heights to obtain graphics that represents compositional designs.
The second stage describes the elements most used in the jazz genre, its melodic, harmonic, and rhythm sources, through the analysis of two selected works taken of the Real Book. All the previously material in this genre will use in the arrangements.
The third stage describes the creative process. It studies through an analysis of important sections of the scores in the arrangements, explaining the harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic contributions that will use in the selected works.
All the arrangements will premiered in a concert of one hour long. | |
