| dc.description | El Gobierno Ecuatoriano ha destinado importantes cantidades del Presupuesto General del Estado para cubrir el Déficit tarifario- Subsidio Eléctrico, generado por la regulación económica en los precios a este servicio.
Estas tarifas reguladas generan ineficiencias por un lado alentando a que los consumidores hagan un mal uso de este recurso y por otro lado poniendo en riesgo la sostenibilidad en el futuro de este sector y del subsidio que además no ha logrado focalizarse.
Por tal motivo este trabajo analiza el Sector Eléctrico Ecuatoriano y propone alternativas al Déficit tarifario.
Este documento se divide en 3 capítulos, el capítulo 1 se refiere al sector eléctrico, antecedentes, fuentes de generación, interconexiones eléctricas, usuarios y tarifa eléctrica, pérdidas de energía entre otros aspectos importantes sobre este sector, el capítulo 2 trata sobre el déficit tarifario y la cuantificación de este subsidio (sector residencial) para el periodo 2008-2012, y finalmente en el capítulo 3 planteamos las alternativas de eficiencia económica y energética al déficit tarifario. | |
| dc.description | The Ecuadorian Government has allocated significant amounts of the State general budget to cover the tariff deficit of the electric subsidy, generated by the regulation economic on the prices for this service.
These regulated tariffs generate inefficiencies, on the one hand encouraging consumers to misuse this resource and putting at risk the future sustainability of this sector and the energy grant which has failed to have a good focus.
As a result of that inefficiency, this work analyzes the Ecuadorian Electric Sector and proposes alternatives the tariff deficit.
This document is divided into 3 sections, section 1 refers to the electric energy sector in general, history, sources of generation, electrical interconnections, users and electricity tariff, losses of energy among other important aspects. Section 2 deals with the tariff deficit and the quantification of this grant (residential sector) for the period 2008 – 2012. And finally in Section 3 we propose alternatives of energy efficiency and economic thetariff deficit. | |
