Esta investigación tuvo como propósito cuantificar los niveles de FSH (Hormona Folículo Estimulante), LH (Hormona Luteinizante) y E2 (Estradiol)en mujeres en etapa de climaterio con edades entre 45 - 55 años, se trabajó con 50 muestras sanguíneas de mujeres que acudieron a la Fundación “Hogar del Ecuador” y Laboratorio “BIO -analise”, mismas que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos, se aplicó encuestas y la aceptación del consentimiento informado. La muestra de estudio, se clasificó en tres etapas del climaterio, se realizó la cuantificación de FSH, LH y E2 mediante el método de quimioluminiscencia; obteniéndose valores: en la premenopausiapara FSH: 2,3 - 17 mIU/ml, LH: 3,3 - 10,8 mIU/ml y E2: 20 - 252 pg/ml; en la menopausia para FSH: 20,3 - 131 mIU/ml, LH: 11,8 - 61,4 mIU/ml y E2: <20 - 50,4 pg/ml y en la postmenopausia para FSH: 29,2 - 111 mIU/ml, LH: 13,6 - 37,9 mIU/ml y E2: <20 - 24,8 pg/ml. Se cuantificó de las hormonas mencionadas en mujeres en edades de 20 - 30 años, en etapa fértil; los valores obtenidos para cada fase del ciclo mantienen relación con lo establecido en cada kit, y permiten posteriormente obtener valores para el ciclo menstrual sin distinción de fases, así: FSH: 2,4 - 11,2 mIU/ml, LH: 2 - 45,5 mIU/ml y E2: 29,2 - 385 pg/ml; un estudio comparativo frente a los niveles hormonales en el climaterio demuestra un aumento de FSH y LH con declinación de E2.ABSTRACT This research was to quantify the levels of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), LH (luteinizing hormone) and E2 (estradiol) in women aged 45 - 55 years experiencing climacteric, we worked with 50 blood samples from women attending the Foundation “Hogar del Ecuador” and Lab "BIO-analise" who met the established criteria of inclusion and exclusion, surveys and acceptance of informed consent was required to conduct this research.
