Resumen
The main objetive is to carry out a study for the selection, design of facilities, maintenance plan and safety of the new boilers for the semi-olympic swimming spa Los Elenes, in Guano Cantón. It includes calculations of equipement selection, desing of distribution facilities of the boiler room. The methodology to follow is; first proceed to collect all the data in the pool and its environment such as; temperature, relative humidities, volume of water, flows. Through ASME PTC 4.0 2008 and other general considerations to select the appropriate equipment for the steam generation system; also based on the ANSI A13.1, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 regulations, as well as the existing laws in our country. It will proceed to desing the distribution of the facilities, a maintenance plan was prepared, a security plan safeguard the integrity of the personnel, environment and equipment of the system. A cost analysis has been carried out according to the benefits and expenses of the spa for the feasibility of execution and implementation of this study by GAD of Guano Cantón. Finally, after the interpretation under standardization and technical criteria of all the results were performed. It will conclude with the selection of the necessary equipment for the steam generation system that will consist of a horizontal shell boiler, a water softening system, a water supply system, fuel supply system, chemical injection system and a calorie exchanger. In addition, it is recommended to pay attention to all the criteria established in this work to install an efficient, safe system that provides facilities for maintenance.
