The design and implementation of a training module for the MODBUS configuration was carried out. For the development of this project, the communication to be applied was investigated, topology and configuration for sending and receiving data between the PC and electronic devices using the MODBUS protocol. Once the communication between the PC and each of the electronic devices that constitute the module is created, the procedure would be to program one device at a time. The network is designed for the transfer of control and monitoring data between the master-slave stations, this is implemented with existing process simulation stations in the Control and Automatic Manipulation laboratory of the School of Engineering of Maintenance, the station that works as master will be a PC (LabVIEW Software), which is responsible for sending and receiving writing and reading signals from the slave stations. Data transfer operation tests were performed on the master-slave communication network: Modbus TCP/IP between LabVIEW – PLC S7-1200 (SIEMENS), Modbus RTU between LabVIEW – PLC Twido (SCHNEIDER) y LabVIEW – Modbus I/O Modbus (Authors), as well as LabVIEW - EasyPort (FESTO) to through the serial RS232 and OPC, it should be emphasized that in all cases LabVIEW software acts as master on the network. Before the manipulation of the module, it is recommended to correct familiarization of the use of all the elements that has been used in the development of this project.
