Resumen
The objective of this research work is to model and simulate a diffuse control for a
hybrid cooling system using free software to obtain comfort values in both temperature
and humidity by using the manually controlled hybrid cooling as a fundamental basis
system, located in the Amazon State University of the province of Pastaza, which has
provided the necessary experimental data for the comparison and validation of the
diffuse controller that seeks to improve two of the most important aspects of the use of
hybrid cooling systems: decrease energy consumption and improve the performance of
the system to optimize the process of generation of cold, knowing that at national level
there is not much information yet, on the use of hybrid cooling systems with desiccant
wheel. With the implementation of a fuzzy control for a hybrid cooling system, it is
possible to perform a behavior analysis of each subsystem by modifying steam
compression values that were taken into account for a manually controlled hybrid
cooling system, reflected in the reduction of 20, 27% of energy consumption, control
that was implemented in the software SCILAB 5.5.2, with the use of Fuzzy Logic
Toolbox 0.4.7. It is recommended to analyze the inclusion of solar energy in the silica
gel regeneration section because it is possible to cover by means of solar collecting a
large percentage of the electrical consumption that is required in this section of the
system.
