| dc.description | Las erupciones volcánicas no sólo tienen grandes efectos sociales por su poder
de devastación, también suponen un grave riesgo para la salud.
El objetivo de la investigación es diseñar un material educativo para promover
las medidas de autoprotección frente a erupciones volcánicas, en niños y niñas
de la Unidad Educativa “Capitán Edmundo Chiriboga” de la ciudad de Riobamba.
Para esto se efectuó un estudio descriptivo, de corte transversal, no experimental
con una muestra de 69 estudiantes comprendidos de 36 hombres y 33 mujeres
en edades entre los 5 a 10 años, en el cual los datos se recolectaron en dos
etapas. La primera constituyó la aplicación de una encuesta de tipo cerrada y
previamente validada por expertos, siendo las preguntas formuladas sobre:
características socio demográficas, conocimientos y prácticas de las personas
en estudio sobre medidas de autoprotección frente a erupciones volcánicas.
La segunda etapa fue diseñar el material educativo, el mismo que en la unidad
educativa mediante una guía de validación fue aprobada, en la que se midió: el
formato, el contenido y claridad de los mensajes. Por lo tanto, este material
educativo, será el primer paso para que los niños y niñas desarrollen las medidas
de autoprotección en el caso de una erupción volcánica.
Según el diagnóstico realizado, se identificó que los estudiantes tienen un
aceptable nivel de conocimiento sobre las medidas de autoprotección frente a
erupciones volcánicas; sin embargo, también se identificaron falencias
importantes en cuanto a la temática que se necesitaron fortalecer. | |

of devastation, also pose a serious risk to health.
The objective of the research is to design an educational material to promote
the measures of self-protection against volcanic eruptions, in boys and girls
of the Educational Unit "Captain Edmundo Chiriboga" of the city of Riobamba.
For this, a descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental study
with a sample of 69 students comprised of 36 men and 33 women
in ages between 5 and 10 years, in which data were collected in two
steps. The first was the implementation of a closed type survey and
previously validated by experts, with questions being asked about:
socio-demographic characteristics, knowledge and practices of individuals
in a study on measures of self-protection against volcanic eruptions.
The second stage was to design the educational material, the same as in the unit
through a validation guide was approved, which measured:
format, content and clarity of messages. Therefore, this material
education will be the first step for children to develop
of self-protection in the event of a volcanic eruption.
According to the diagnosis made, it was identified that the students have a
acceptable level of knowledge about self-protection measures against
Volcanic eruptions; however, faults were also identified
important in terms of the theme that needed to be strengthened. | |
