Resumen
At “San Alfonso” Poultry farm located in San Antonio de Bayushig Parish, Penipe County, Chimborazo Province, the use of water-soluble vitamins at 25, 50, 75 and 100 % (250 g /500 lt corresponds to 100 %) for laying birds drinking water was evaluated. For this, it was necessary to use 500 Lohmann Brown hens (from 92 to 102 weeks). A completely randomized design with four repetitions per treatment was applied and for the media separation, it was necessary to use Tukey test. The best production results were obtained when using water-soluble vitamins at 25 % with a laying percentage of 79.13 %; an egg average production of 59.35 eggs per nested bird, an egg weight of 69.15 grams, the higher number of eggs in good conditions per nested bird is 59.07 which reflects a low morbidity index. The food consumption and conversion were statistically influenced; this allowed achieving the best results in a 50 % of water-soluble vitamins with a food consumption of 7.42 kg and a food conversion of 1.80 marks. The highest profitability was achieved when using water-soluble vitamins at 50%, obtaining a cost/benefit of 1.28 dollars, it means that per each dollar invested 0.28 cents were earned. Therefore, it is recommended to use water-soluble vitamins at 25 % in laying-birds drinking water since the best productive parameters were obtained; it is also recommended to use water-soluble vitamins at 50 % because it reflected the best cost/benefit in the egg-laying birds feeding.
