Resumen
We evaluated the collaborative tools explaining a reason and Wisemapping to stimulate
the development of critical thinking in high school students of the Municipality of
Loreto Educational Unit. The importance of the present investigation was justified
considering that critical thinking is binding with learning, which in the medium and
long term gradually generates Independence in its educational process. We worked with
a group of 67 high school students to determine the impact of the use of collaborative
tools explaining a reason and Wisemapping. The methodology used was the field and
descriptive research and through the application of the test for evaluation of critical
thinking, the verification of hypotheses was made through the method CHI2. The results
showed an acceptable predisposition of the students to use the proposed tools, which
allow them to improve the development of critical thinking. It is concluded that the use
of the collaborative tools managed improved the dimension of analysis of the
information. Therefore it is recommended to use the mentioned tools as strategies that
allow the student to stimulate the development of critical thinking.
