Resumen
In the community Cobshe, in the parish Achupallas, of the county Alausi, province of Chimborazo, two progestagens (CIDR® and CRESTAR®) were evaluated in the oestrus synchronization for artificial insemination to fixed time in dairy cows, about the reproductive parameter, by means of 10 repetitions per treatment with one animal as experimental unit, the animals were select under the criteria of Body Condition, no less than 2,5 and no bigger than 3,5 and in the lactancy phase. For the data analysis the technique t d Student for unequal variables was applied, permitting to contrast average between the reproductive parameter and the hypothesis test for categorical variables Chi Square (Χ²), with de aim to determine the rate of conception of both treatments. The usage of the protocols of synchronization stimulated the oestrus presentation in the 100% of the treated animals. Statistical differences were no found between both treatments but slight numerical differences for the Body Condition (BC), Presentation of the Oestrus Post-Withdrawal of Implants (POPI), Duration of Oestrus (DO), Rate of Conception (TC), obtaining the following results 3,05 and 2,98 (BD), 38 and 41(OPI), 21,70 and 22 (DC), 70% and 60% (TC) for the treatments CIDR and CRESTAR, respectively. The cost per pregnant cow (c/p/c) was of the $84,44 for CIDR treatment. It is recommended on this way the usage of the protocol of synchronization CIDR, since it had a favorable difference of $23,50 per pregnant cow.
