Resumen
This paper shows the design and construction of flat bottom with diffusers according to specifications SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) organization requires. In the manufacture of flat bottom fiber woven cabuya normally used with a wire diameter 0,9mm based and realizing a study in the School of Automotive Engineering of the ESPOCH, having that natural fiber has lower cost, easy obtaining and mainly contributes to the environment. 3 CAD software designs which vary in shapes, curves and types of diffusers is performed, the design provides greater load supporting this negative performed with a simulation using CAE tools and CFD package - ANSYS FLUENT. The method used in the construction of flat bottom with diffusers is manual stratification because it has a good impregnation of reinforcements with the help of polyester resin, this is in liquid form and with the help of additional chemical changes state to reach a final cure. The result of using sisal fiber as reinforcement in the flat bottom with diffusers is very good and guaranteed the use of natural fiber composites in the automotive industry.
