Resumen
At present oil markets are more competitive and oil must be extracted at the lowest Price. To
meet this requirement it is necessary to have a water reinjection pumping system capable to
keep technical specifications for some time, this led to this research project which purpose is to
establish a proposed maintenance plan using reliability engineering based on the analysis of the
rate function fault λ(t) applied to the water reinjection pumping system on Auca Field, Block 61
of the Petroamazonas EP company located in the province of Orellana. Foresee and contain
break downs will help us to avoid the causes and consequences in order to prevent it from
happening. The methodology used was a field research and literature documentary, a historical
record of unit failures was compiled, these data and software support Fiasoft served to establish
the statistical mathematical model and determine the reliability indices. With the results and
reliability parameters obtained tasks are proposed in order to optimize the maintenance plan and
prevent system reliability to be less than 45% and reduce the occurrence of faults which means
costs reduce for corrective maintenance and unplanned shutdowns, ensuring this way system
reliability and availability times of equipment. It is recommended to strictly comply with the
frequency of each of the tasks proposed. It is recommended to strictly comply with the
