Resumen
The present research proposes: to define a Geomechanical classification that allows to determinate the geotechnical behavior of the alluvial mass where the access tunnel will be built Ventana 2 of hydroelectric Project Quijos 50Mw; located in Napo province, Quijos canton, Cuyuja district the same has two parts, the first one is investigative about the geomechanical characteristics of the alluvial material where the Ventana 2 tunnel is going to build and the second one a supporting proposal for the fortification during the construction of tunnel, that will serve like drainage system and access for future constructions inherent to the project. The determination of the fortification will be done according to the geomechanical classification of Bieniawski an Barton, more known in our environment, due to its functionality, easy determination in-situ and veracity in many similar projects. Obtaining the close relationship between the formation conditions and the mechanical behavior of alluvial mass, explaining thus high charge capacity, and high degree of compactation; using the geomechanical classifications of RMR (rock mass rating) an Q index, the workability of alluvial mass is obtained in function of charge capacity, the presence of water, the alluvial mass and the clay content, without forget the safety factor that was defined like safety index for the Hydro-electric project Quijos is equals to one. It is recommended to do a gradual study according to the tunnel excavation because each 25 meters it is suggested to do new studies about; charge capacity, the flow and the clay content, in order to guarantee the equipment safety, the personal and the useful life of the excavation.
